Surveys

Compliance Survey

Statutory survey of a commercial vessel conducted to applicable Codes on behalf of the Flag State or registry at the request of the vessel owner.

Damage Survey

Often required by underwriters to ascertain the nature, cause and extent of casualty damage to determine liability, if any. Instructions may extend to casualty search / recovery and supervision of recommended repairs.

Pre-Purchase Survey

Comprises a searching examination and report on all aspects of the hull structure, deck fittings, rig, machinery, engineering systems and normally accessible parts of the vessel to assist clients in making an informed purchase decision.

Insurance Survey

Directed principally at the key structural parts of a vessel, watertight integrity, essential systems and equipment to guide underwriters in assessing levels of risk exposure. An insurance survey is not a suitable substitute for a pre-purchase survey, which will exceed underwriter's requirements for risk assessment purposes.
